RE2020 thermal study
Design engineering for the French environmental regulation

RE2020 sets the energy and carbon performance of new buildings in France through the Bbio (bioclimatic need), Cep (primary energy) and DH (summer discomfort degree-hours) indicators, plus the Ic_construction and Ic_energy carbon indicators. ARKEMEP runs the full thermal study — dynamic thermal simulation (STD), envelope and systems optimisation, carbon LCA and compliance attestations — for residential and tertiary projects.

Scope of work

From bioclimatic design to compliance.

Bbio / Cep / DH

Bioclimatic-need, primary-energy and summer-comfort calculations against the RE2020 thresholds, with envelope and systems trade-offs.

Dynamic simulation (STD)

Hour-by-hour thermal modelling to anticipate summer overheating and optimise solar protection, inertia and ventilation.

Carbon LCA & attestation

Ic_construction / Ic_energy assessment and the compliance attestations required at permit and completion stages.

Scope a RE2020 thermal study

Thermal, acoustics and carbon LCA under one roof — arbitrated together rather than in silos.
