Biodiversity certification

Effinature — biodiversity certification for construction and development

Effinature is a biodiversity certification operated by IRICE as an independent third party, accredited by Cofrac (no. 5-0655) under ISO/IEC 17065. The certification is issued by the accredited body, separately from any design or advisory assignment.

An accredited biodiversity certification, issued by an independent third party

Effinature assesses the biodiversity performance of a construction or development project against a proprietary framework of the NORMAXIS group. Unlike a self-declared label, the certification is issued by IRICE, a body accredited by Cofrac (no. 5-0655) under ISO/IEC 17065 for the "construction" family. It is this accreditation — audited and monitored by a third party — that makes the claim defensible to investors, local authorities and buyers.

Four frameworks cover the project life cycle: NCO 25.05 for new construction, EVO 25.05 for renovation, HOR 25.05 for development, and the HVE add-on for operational monitoring. The project design can be supported upstream by ARKEMEP or ARKENOR; the certification decision belongs to IRICE alone, conducted independently of any advisory work — this separation of roles is the condition of the impartiality required by the standard.
